Self taught, Carl Tremblay started at a very young age on the blues trail. At 13 Carl bought his first harmonica. His apprenticeship was done on the road during jam sessions accoss Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Carl Tremblay is at his fifth performance at le Cabaret du St-Cyrille. In the spring of 2002, during our first festival of harmonicas, Carl Tremblay delivered a stunning performance.
After a short tour of a year in California, where he played with musicians like John Belushi, The Blues Brothers, Buddy Miles, Joe Cocker, and B.J. Franklin, Carl Tremblay returned to Montreal to play in different gigs such as the competitions at Place des Arts where he received first prize in the musician category. He then did a four year tour of Europe. This is where his singing career started. He played with different groups in different countries.
Because of his soul, of a travelling musician, you will always find him on stage, whether large or small, full of fiery energy.
