Berth Rock & Blues Band & Cie
A Tribute to John Lennon and George Harrison

Le Cabaret du St-Cyrille in Sorel debuts it autumn-winter season with a tribute to ex-Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison presented, on two consecutive nights, by Berth rock'n'blues band. It's gonna be hot!

Beatlemania is still alive and well 40 years after the Fab Four first set foot on North American soil. John Lennon (1940-1980) was murdered, December 8, 1980, in New York city while George Harrison (1943-2001) died, in December 2001, as a result of throat cancer.

The band is made up of a number of musicians from the region: singer-guitarist Pierre Berthiaume, guitarist Jean-Guy Péloquin, manager Robert Spick on percussions, Mario Brun on keyboard, Geneviève Bourque, Sébastien Dionne and Sophie Harty on vocals, bassman Marc Gendron, and Daniel Robidoux on drums. Given this pool of talent, fans have obviously seized on the occasion, if we can judge by the speed at which the tickets are selling.

They, with lack of foresight, will certainly be biting their thumbs if they don't hurry ...
