Mononc' Serge and Anonymus

After a quick request from the producer, Le Cabaret du St-Cyrille presents Mononc'Serge and the group Anonymus. Bros productions succeeded, after many attempts to thwart the morals of Le Cabaret, by ushering in "L'Académie du massacre".

So who are Anonymus and Mononc'Serge?

Anonymus is a quartet that will celebrate their 15th anniversary next winter. Composed of the original members that formed the group in 1989 they are: the brothers Oscar and Daniel Souto, Marco Calliari, and Carlos Araya. These veterans are a very respected heavy metal group in the Quebec and Canadian arena. They have filled huge and prestigious halls such as the Métropolis, the Spectrum and even the legendary Calgary Warehouse, a temple of Albertain metal where Joe Clark has been seen with his Molson Canadian on his forehead and double chin before gulping it in traditional chug-a-lug style.

Mononc'Serge was with the Colocs in the early 90's. Since 1996 he has had a brilliant solo career singing songs of dubious morals. His themes of preference: public figures, news events, Canada, sex, drugs, rock n'roll, and of course sin. He has five albums to date.

The joint project Mononc'Serge-Anonymus began at the 2001 Polliwog festival. This festival of music for the nasty was the occasion that united this satirist and the four nasties of metal during a song of convenience "Marijuana". Enthused by the experience Mononc'Serge and the group decided to further their collaboration.

Now you know everything. All that is left is to tear the place down on the eve of "la St-Jean" at le Cabaret du Saint-Cyrille.
