Steve Rowe, master blues guitarist, developed his passion for music at a young age. As a teen he was already playing the chords of his idols on the 15 dollar guitar his father bought him in 1968. Steve Rowe was spellbound by the music of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, and B.B. King. He had found his vocation.
In 1979 Steve Rowe got his first professional contract. During 12 years he evolved amongst a number of groups and shared the stage with bluesmen JIm Zeller, Carl Tremblay, Bob Harrisson, and many others. In 1991 he started his own band which gave him the liberty of following the niche of his choosing.
For his first album, DRIVING THE BLUES AWAY, he recruited the best elements he could in order to give the public an album filled with authenticy. Two year later he recorded his second, NO REFUND, NO RETURN. Praised by the critics in 2002, this album was nominated for the Le Lys Bleu awards. Steve Rowe has been touring Canada for a few years now and is present on stage for importants events like the famous Montreal Jazz Festival.
